Updated Amy Porterfield Review 2023

Article Summary

The Amy Porterfield review articles on this site are very popular. So here’s an update and more content. Going into 2023 we discuss how Amy is still the queen of online marketing made sleazy. And in an unregulated market that is easy for her to do.

She is lining her pocketbook with our money and is not returning the dollars in service. Unless of course, you are one of her favorite customers that I call “online course junkies”, who take the course and never use the material. Or maybe you do use the material and really create awesome success. Great for you. But do you also market like Amy? If so you might want to read this.

If you know someone who can benefit from this feel free to share it with them using the simple share buttons to the side.

Let’s get into the article!

Online marketing made sl-easy

Amy Porterfield is still up to her online marketing made sleazy. My big beef with Amy is the fact that she does not qualify her buyers. At the price of $2,000 for her course, the thing to do is qualify buyers! And then with all the add-ons, she dangles once you are in her hands it just seems like it would be thoughtful and kind if she made absolutely sure that the buyer really needs her service, course, and/or coaching.

Here’s what I mean by this. I signed up for Digital Course Academy in March of 2021. I reluctantly signed up for this course. Her marketing funnel let her team know that I did not buy when it came time to “cart close.” So she conveniently offered me the option to pay month to month. A price of $199 per month for 12 months, which comes out to a price of $2,388 for her <very expensive> $2,000 course.

My very naive thinking at the time was this,

“I’ll easily be making that $2,000 back by taking her course and practicing her <expensive and slimy> tactics in no time.”

Honestly, Amy and her team should have let me slip through their fingers as I was definitely not a good match for her and my gut told me that from the very beginning.

But her greedy marketing tactics did not let <me> my money slip through the cracks of her very stuffed pocketbooks. This fact right here is the reason I do not align with her sleazy marketing.

Why? Because I really want my clients to succeed. I will stick with them through thick and thin. My definite chief aim won’t let me do that. And I work from a place of value! And not only in the value that I offer but also in the values I hold.

Opportunities?

You see once I was in Digital Course Academy, Amy started selling on top of what I already paid. She was teaching us webinars and had a slide-by-slide presentation that she was teaching. She had a template that cost an EXTRA $297 .🤢 Which is $300 in plain terms, that number 97 is a psychological marketing ploy. And I get selling on top of what you already offer but at $2k you better provide the cake and eat it with me too!!!

Then when the course ends, she has an “opportunity” to continue working with her in a monthly Facebook group that costs $97 per month. That would be another big NO from me as I was still paying for the course that abruptly ended in 12 weeks.

I say abruptly because there was no way I was ready to launch my course. Neither was anyone else I knew in the group for that matter. Yea, that’s how much content you had to cover!

And this group was on Facebook. Really Amy? You can’t afford to give us a higher quality way of service? Or is Facebook lining your pockets too? Yeah, I think the latter.

Then when she launched again in September we had another “opportunity” to work with her by re-joining the Facebook group for the newbies. That cost was another $297. WTF? No wonder some were way ahead of the game in week ONE!!!

I get this concept. And I think it works. But please be transparent. That is one thing Amy is NOT. And that is where I do not align with her.

So if I hung out with Amy for all this time here’s what I would have spent with her:

  • Digital Course Academy ($199 for 12 months) = $2,388

  • Plus the slide-by-slide webinar template (taught BUT not included in DCA) = $297

  • Plus the monthly cost of $97 for the Facebook Group for 2 years (hopefully this is ALL I waste) = $2,328

  • Plus re-joining the Facebook Group when she re-launched (hopefully I only do this once) = $297

For a grand total of $5,310 😬

Not worth $5+k and today you can learn everything online and it will be a lot less expensive.

Greedy

In my personal opinion, you can learn 100% of the things she teaches online via research and even reading Russell Brunson's books. But even he and his click funnels are scammy. And even today with ChatGPT you can just ask it to teach you how.

Expert Secrets by Russell Brunson is where Amy got her slide-by-slide presentation “formula”.

Honestly, you can learn everything online for free. It is the coaching that you pay for. But what does she coach actually? And if she is not transparent from the get-go and she is constantly selling more and you constantly need more - what does that tell you?

To me, that is not in alignment with my values and goals. That is greedy. This coaching online market is unregulated and this type of thing goes on every single day.

Helpful or Hurtful?

I want to help my clients, team members, and prospects. That is how I feel good. I mean Napoleon Hill, Neville Goddard, and the great teachers state that what you offer needs to benefit others, AND you.

There’s a reason my articles on Amy Porterfield are very popular. People are seeking honest reviews. Not ones that sugarcoat everything and give affiliate links to her programs in which they get kickbacks from Amy.

And those that are affiliated with Amy are no better. Take Gravy.io for example. She boasts of them helping you not leave money on the table. They will help you get money from those who do not pay their monthly dues.

I am happily one of those people who quit paying Amy! Instead of $2,388 (or even that bogus $5,300 price tag), I paid a measly $1,600. I quit paying Amy in November 2021 and had about 6 months left on my payment plan. I wish I stopped sooner! Like at the end of 12 weeks. So, in all honesty, the value of that course was a measly $166.

BTW all Gravy.io did was send me emails that I ignored. Just like Amy’s unregulated market, so is her payment processors. No harm to YOUR credit, just HER pocketbook. Now that’s a win-win!

Kajabi

Or let’s talk about Kajabi for a minute. If you sign up for Kajabi under Amy’s affiliate link she makes $47 a month off of you. And she has thousands of Kajabi affiliates. Do the math my friend!

You pay $197 PER MONTH for a website that is ONLY okay at its best. I had major problems with the Kajabi email service. Kajabi is a jack of all trades and a master of none. But you’ll pay for that and you’ll pay people like Amy and other affiliates who market just like she does.🤢

Because obviously, Amy does not care about you and your pocketbook - unless you are helping her. To me, coaching of that caliber and cost is a two-way street. Not one way.

Amy now has a new book being released in early 2023. The title is Two Weeks Notice. This book does not appeal to me at all due to the fact that I love my 9-5. But she sure promotes the crap out of things - forced marketing. AND SHE LOVES TO SPEAK TO PAIN POINTS!! Don’t fall for her trap!

Be careful what you wish for my friend. You may give that two-week notice with stars in your eyes🤩 thinking you’ll be making that huge income like Amy. Just be prepared to bro-market in force like the rest of them. Here’s an article I did on Power vs Force Marketing.

I met many through DCA. I have also met many from my blog posts who see right through Amy Porterfield. And my hope is to help you save that money for things that matter. And Amy’s pocketbook is not something that matters!

Fake Is As Fake Does

So, just a few weeks ago I re-posted something of Amy’s in my stories. It was of Amy talking about how she lost her right-hand person earlier this year. I posted the word fake coming out of Amy’s mouth.

Amy saw it. And she quickly contacted Chloe Rathje, ‘her lost right hand’. Chloe immediately sent me a DM that said,

“Hi….right hand here. Couldn’t be further from the truth. ✌ thought I’d let you know so you can take down the embarrassingly inaccurate post.

I felt gaslit by that DM!! Seriously. But I didn’t reply. I didn’t waste my energy.

Honestly, I was NOT embarrassed! Why? Because I feel that I was correct.

You see, Chloe was with Amy when I was in DCA. Chloe did everything, she was on top of her game. I have a very strong feeling that when Amy gets mad she is really mean. I have watched her teach courses. I see her give that side eye😏 to her team, husband, or someone who happens to be in the room. And it does not look kind.

Chloe probably moved on from Amy. She probably got a really good job, is running her own business, or had a baby. They are still close, obviously. Great! Way to go! More power to her.

But I have also heard through others who read my Amy Porterfield content that Amy hired someone new and she struggled with her last two launches. I also heard the quality of the course has gone downhill.

This does not surprise me at all! The idea is outdated. People are getting smart about online courses and sleazy marketing!!!

But don’t worry Amy, you’ll still have your “online coaching junkies” who will buy your course and never use the material. Your name will always precede you because of the way you market.

But I can tell you I won’t market like that. My integrity as a person, team member, coach, and entrepreneur means more to me than lining my pocketbook with money that is not truly earned.

Conclusion

In closing, I just had to update my Amy Porterfield posts. They are extremely popular. And I hope I help others. I want to save you the heartache that I had when I went through this thoroughly marketed course. Marketed by the queen of online marketing made sleazy!!

This market is saturated. And because it is not regulated it is full of corruption. But corruption will soon eat itself up. It always does. It is just a law of the universe. And if you trust the process and keep importance low you’ll find that corruption is just built on a non-solid foundation.

I’d rather sit back, eat my popcorn and watch the show. That is a pendulum at work for sure. And I will laugh, sit back in the auditorium and watch it go!

Thank you for spending part of your day with me. I hope you found this helpful. If you know someone who can benefit from this feel free to share it with them using the simple share buttons to the side.
