Article Summary

Kathie pulls a quote from Reality Transurfing and we discuss it. The quote has to do with destructive pendulums and why we fall into suffering emotionally.

You create excess potential when you hate something and then balanced forces come in to knock you off that hate pedastal.

Transurfing® on Tuesday

Quote of the day:

“The destructive pendulum sways even higher when you are suffering emotionally. Finally, when you hate something you create excess potential.

Balanced forces are then directed against you because it is easier for them to eliminate one opponent than to change a world that does not suit one individual.

Who would have thought there could be so many harmful aspects to a negative attitude towards life!”

-Vadim Zeland, Reality Transurfing I-V

Hate is a Dirty Word

Mr. Fry was my Sunday School teacher in high school. He was actually a Green Beret in the Marine Corp and fought in the Korean War. This means he was an elite member of one of the highest-ranked military services.

Mr. Fry exuded confidence and everyone respected him.

He was an excellent teacher of life in general. One thing he taught us that I will never forget is not ever, under any circumstances, to say the word hate.

If he caught us using that word he would call us out. To this day I remember this lesson and when I catch myself using the word I stop dead in my tracks and reframe this word. I do this in my self-talk too!

I think Mr. Fry was onto something here. Vadim says “when you hate something you create excess potential.”

The seven deadly sins

Having a negative attitude can be harmful especially when you create excess potential and balanced forces can and will come into play.

Think of the seven deadly sins, also known as the capital vices or cardinal sins, which are a grouping of vices or sins within Christian teachings

Behaviors or habits are classified under this category if they directly give rise to a negative attitude towards life and can be harmful!!

The seven deadly sins are:

  1. Pride

  2. Greed

  3. Wrath

  4. Envy

  5. Lust

  6. Gluttony

  7. Laziness

Each of these sins can wreak havoc on your life and bring in the destructive pendulum.

Each of these are listed as levels of Force in the levels of consciousness by Dr. David Hawkins in his book Power vs Force. You can watch a video I did on these levels here:

Destructive Pendulums

How does one handle a destructive pendulum? Well, first, we must become aware of the exact pendulums that are causing problems in our lives - AKA taking our energy!

I created a guide on pendulums. Not all pendulums are bad and knowing which ones are destructive is key to understanding how to interact with them.

You can download that guide here!

One big sign that you are caught in a destructive pendulum is becoming aware of what you hate. Where you are caught in the trap of one of those deadly sins?

“Why does this always happen to me?”

Have you ever found yourself saying, “But I don’t want to! I hate it! Why does this always happen to me?”

It is difficult to accept the fact that even though you do not want something to happen there is nothing you can do about it and if you hate something, it will follow you around wherever you go.

You can harbor hate for poverty, your work, your physical flaws, your neighbors, alcoholics, drug addicts, dogs (who would hate dogs?😂), thieves, criminals, the government, escalating prices,…the list goes on and on.

The more you love to hate something, the more likely you are to experience it in your life.

The reason for this is clear. When something gets to you, you think about it, which means you radiate energy at the frequency of a lifeline where that thing exists in abundance.

It does not matter which polarity you embody: “liking” or “not liking”. The second is of greater benefit to the pendulum because emotions associated with ‘not liking’ are more powerful than emotions associated with ‘liking.’

Our brains are wired this way

Remember the insult that stuck with you for too long? The bad news you can’t quite shake off? Or the mistake you fixate on?

As it turns out, we are evolutionarily wired to give greater weight to negative experiences instead of positive ones. We automatically respond faster and stronger to the bad, easily dismissing the good.

Neuropsychologists call this the Brain’s Negativity Bias and you can blame our ancestors for such a negative nature, here’s why.

From an evolutionary standpoint, our survival depended on this negativity bias. It was a way for our ancestors to be cautious of all environmental dangers around us.

Being constantly so alert to threats and worst-case scenarios is what helped our ascendants survive. It is automatic.

The 17 Second Rule

There is a way to change the brain’s Negativity Bias. It’s a matter of training our brains for positivity, to actively become more attuned to positive emotions such as joy, interest, creativity, and love.

Science claims that for a positive experience to get into our long-term memory we should hold it in our field of attention for at least 10-20 seconds, if not it disappears.

Abraham Hicks* was onto something when they mentioned the 17-second rule. The 17-second rule states that when you focus on a thought for 17 seconds, you activate the vibration of the thought.

Remember, the brain sees what it expects to see, what it becomes primed for.

Here’s an example – think about buying a new car, you are looking at a white Range Rover and suddenly you keep seeing white Range Rover everywhere.

Actively build up on the positive. Look for the good (facts) and turn them into positive experiences.

Try to do this at least half a dozen times a day, each time for half a minute. The longer we hold our awareness of it and the more emotionally stimulating it is, the stronger the trace in memory.

So the taste of good coffee, a lovely sunset, or an unexpected compliment, try to turn it into a good experience, notice it and savor it. Train your brain to do so!

Conclusion

So Mr. Fry was onto something when he brought our attention to use of the word HATE. I would add to that use of any of the seven deadly sins.

As Vadim states, “when you hate something you create excess potential.”

“Who would have thought there could be so many harmful aspects to a negative attitude towards life!”

Let’s change that!

*Who is Abraham Hicks? Abraham Hicks is the name of a non-physical entity that is channeled by Esther Hicks. Their teachings are said to be about the law of attraction. Esther describes them as “a group of non-physical entities who present themselves as Abraham, and who speaks through a process known as channeling.”
